Q. What's so special about Rapidocs?

A
. Rapidocs document assembly software allows the user to assemble a tailor-made legal document by answering questions set within the interactive, smart template. The finished document can be edited within Rapidocs, using the built-in Rapidocs word-processor, or exported to Word or any .rtf compatible word-processor for further editing and adaptation to any special circumstances.

Each question field is accompanied with appropriate guidance designed to provide users with the information needed to answer the question correctly.  The logic and intelligence of the legal documents and agreements have been authored by MyLawyer.com, Inc., our affiliated consumer web publishing company with leading lawyers in the US and legal form content licensed from other publishers such as Nolo.com.  Relevant legal issues and matters to be addressed are highlighted and consequently what is produced is a customized do-it-yourself legal agreement or set of court forms ready for filing with detailed instructions.

Site Security

HTTPS Protocol

This web site, and our hosting web sites,  are secure sites which uses the https protocol. This means that all data sent to and from the site is encrypted. You can determine on your own that it is a secure site by noticing that the lock symbol on your web browser is now closed.

Client Data Within a Form: How Rapidocs Security Works

When you assemble a document within Rapidocs, the Rapidocs file itself is 128-bit encrypted, which is the highest level of security, and the file itself can be password protected by the user or a staff member.

There are two ways to use Rapidocs.

1. Rapidocs Classic:  If you want to save the data within the form you need to use Rapidocs Classic  - the version that functions as an application on your local computer.  This means that you must download Rapidocs on your computer and let it self-install. When you are ready to assemble a document, you download a document form from the site and the form itself self-installs within Rapidocs. You only have to download a form one time on any particular computer. Once you complete a form for a client you can assign a password and the file is totally secure. No client data is stored on the server. Rapidocs Classic is only an option for users of the Advanced DirectLaw Hosting Service.

2. Rapidocs ActiveX:  You also have the option of assembling legal forms within the web browser. When you insert a client's data within the web browser it is not stored on the server, but within the form itself. When you close your web browser the client's data will disappear. You use the web browser version when you can complete a client's form in a single session and then print the form out for filing or execution. Rapidocs ActiveX is available to users of the DirectLaw Hosting Service.

3. Rapidocs ActiveX with Document Management:  There is an option within the Rapidocs system that allows a user to complete a Rapidocs form within the web browser and then store that Rapidocs form with the client's data on the Rapidocs server (in 128-bit encrypted form and password protected). This is a custom option.

Q. How does Rapidocs work with Adobe .pdf forms?

A. Rapidocs will assemble forms in Adobe .PDF format either in Rapidocs Classic or Rapidocs ActiveX. Adobe .PDF format is used when a form is highly graphical and formatted such as a state form or federal tax form. Many court forms are in Adobe .PDF Format. To view a form in Adobe .PDF, you must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer. If you don't have Adobe Reader installed  already, you can download it for free from the Adobe Web Site.
